Let’s start with a little intro - who is P Bully?

I am a multi-electronic-genre DJ from Tottenham. I also run an event called Junglicious and run events for a collective I am a part of called Crowd Control TV. I love bringing people together and creating community.

If you had to describe your sound at the moment with three tracks, what would they be?

Brighter Days Family - Wyl Up

Peven Everett - Surely Shorty

AshZone - sao paulo gp

How did you first get into DJing and what’s been the story, so far?

I got into DJing through watching my friends Maddie and Conor DJing at Pirate after raves back in 2021. At some point Conor showed me the basics and from that moment I just started to go to Pirate independently to work on my craft. DJing was only a hobby up until last February and now I’ve been taking it seriously and I’m loving it!!

For those that don’t know, who are Jungilicous and what does being a part of it mean to you?

Junglicious is all about spotlighting DJs and MCs of African and Caribbean heritage within the electronic dance music scene. But let me be clear, this isn’t a rave exclusively for Black people. It’s about creating more visibility and space for us, because we’ve always been here. At the same time, it’s also about connecting with other promoters who genuinely care about diversifying their lineups and introducing them to Black talent that deserves the shine. Junglicious is a rave rooted in community, a safe, open space for everyone, regardless of your background or how you identify.

I also run events called Junglicious & Friends, where we invite artists from outside our immediate circle who are doing exciting things in the scene. It always results in a beautifully diverse lineup, and I genuinely love that. Beyond the rave, I’m also working on projects that bring Black DJs together to network, collaborate, and build community within the rave scene. There are no long checklists or gatekeeping here. If you're of African or Caribbean heritage and you’ve got passion and talent for electronic music, there’s space for you in the Junglicious family.

"Junglicious is a rave rooted in community, a safe, open space for everyone, regardless of your background or how you identify."

What’s been your favourite Jungilicious event, so far?

Picking my favourite Junglicious event is so hard but I would have to say it's a close tie between our first event last June and our International Women's Day Rave on the 8th of March “Girls Girls Girls”.

You’ve featured on platforms such as Balamii which showcase London’s wide-ranging sound, how has the city influenced your taste or style?

London has built its own creative culture/community and I’d say it’s influenced me a lot as I am always around like minded individuals with their own unique style. We all kind of influence and inspire each other.

Who are some emerging artists or DJs you would recommend?

Ooo, I’d say DJs - Chedda Bred, Selectacee, Ksha, Tori and Osquello

Artists - Wilfy D, Romaine, Shaolin and If you like some alternative greatness I’d say new duo ‘Atwar

- Tap In!

Reflecting on your career so far, is there a particular set or event that stands out as especially memorable or transformative for you?

Performing in Sweden for the first time in January has to stand out to me as the crowd had amazing and great vibes, this really helped me with my confidence and trust in my sauce.

Which artists or genres have significantly influenced your sound?

I’d say, If we are throwing it back to my childhood, Louie Vega and Shy FX - They never miss. I’m one for melodies first, If there is no melody to a song - I can't really jam to it. Currently though, I’d say Nia Archives and Donea’o - jungle and funky/afro house vibes inspire me everyday!

What advice would you offer to those looking to start a career in DJing?

Do not sit on it! Get up and go for it because time doesn’t wait for anyone and update that USB frequently!

What’s coming up for the rest of the year?

More parties and collaboration :)
